Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) of a University/Institution recognized by the government.

Non Refundbale fees of Rs. 300/-through SBI Challan.

Selection Procedure for Odisha PSC Civil Judge Recruitment :
Direct Recruitment to the postof civil judge will be made by commission through a competitive exam which shall consists of three phases :
- Preliminary written Exam
- Main written Exam
Preliminary Written Exam Syllabus and Pattern for Odisha PSC civil Judge Recruitment :
The Exam will be of one paper carrying 100 marks with time limit of one and half hours with objective type multiple choice questions (i.e, 100 questions of one marks each with negative marks of twenty five percent of marks allotted to a question for every wrong answer) on following subjects :
- Constitution of India
- Code of Civil Procedure
- Code of Criminal Procedure
- Evidence Act
- Indian Penal Code
- Limitation Act
- Transfer of Property Act
- Contract Act
- Law of Succession (indian Succession act and hindu succession act)
- Specific Relief Act
Candidates who secure not less than 35 percent marks in case of SC/ST candidates and 40 percent marks in case of other categories candidates will be called for main examination.
Main written Exam :
Main written exam will consist of two compulsory papers and three optional papers.
- Comulsory papers :
- General English- 150 marks
- Translation and retranslation of ten lines each
- A short essay of about 150 words
- Précis writing consisting of 300 words
- One passage of about 500 words with 5 questions
- Procedural Laws- 150 marks
- The Code of Criminal Procedure,1973
- The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908
- The Indian Evidence Act. 1872
- Optional Papers : candidates may choose any of the three subjects from followings :
- Law of Crime & Law of torts – 150 marks
- Personal Law – 150 marks
- Law of Property – 150 marks
- Law of Contract – 150 marks
- Jurisprudence and Constitution of india – 150 marks
Once the optional subjects choosed while filling online application form, after it no request for changing the optional subjects will be entertained.
Interview will carry 100 marks. In the interview the questions covering the broad national and international issues and matters of common interest in field of arts and science may be asked.
Minimum 40 percent marks are necessary in interview for place in the final merit list.
