New Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure for SBI PO Recruitment 2015:

SBI PO 2015 new exam pattern:

There will be three phase examination conducted by the State Bank of India.

Phase-I : Preliminary Examination

Phase-II : Main Examination

Phase-III : Group Discussion

Phase-I : Preliminary Examination

Candidates who apply for the SBI PO Recruitment 2015 Exam wil undergo the preliminary examination. Preliminary exam will be conducted online carrying 100 marks and 1 hour will be allotted to attempt the examination.

Phase-II : Main Examination

Main examination will consist of

  • Objective test : 200 marks
  • Descriptive test: 50 marks.

Both objective and descriptive test will be conducted online. Candidates will have to answer the descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after the objective test, descriptive test will be conducted.

  • Objective Test: In the objective section there will be four sections with 50 marks each (total 200 marks).
  1. English (Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension etc)
  2. General awareness, marketing and computers
  3. Data Analysis and interpretation
  4. Reasoning (high level)

Candidates are required to be qualified in each section by securing the passing marks, as decided by the bank.

  • Descriptive Test :

Descriptive test will be of 1 hour duration and carrying 50 marks. And it will a test of English language (letter writing and essay writing)

Descriptive test of only those candidates will be evaluated who score the qualifying passing marks in objective test and are placed high as per total marks in objective test.

Phase-III : Group Discussion (20 marks) and interview (30 marks)

Candidates shortlisted through objective and descriptive test will be called for group discussion and interview. Qualifying marks in GD and interview to be decided by the bank.

Final Selection for Vacancy of PO in SBI :

The marks obtained in preliminary examination (phase-I) will not be counted for final selection. Marks obtained only in main exam and GD & interview will be counted for preparation of final list.

Candidates need to qualify both in phase-II and phase-III separately. Marks secured by candidates in written test (out of 250 marks) will be converted to out of 75. And marks secured in GD and interview (out of 50 marks) will be converted to out of 25.

Final Score will be figured out of 100 and merit list will be prepared on the basis of that final score.

Exam Dates for SBI PO Exam 2015:

The Exam for SBI po recruitment 2015 is most likely to be conducted in month of June 2015. Exact date of exam will be notified on admit cards / hall ticket for sbi po exam 2015.
