There are 3 simple steps to fill the CAT 2017 registration form online from official website of CAT i.e. CAT 2017 Official Website

Step first- Registration

First candidates need to create a profile. To create profile click on the Register now then enter your details then. A captcha will be displayed which has to filled to complete the process. Check the details what you filled then click on the I Agree tab. Candidates will get a registration ID on the registration email id. The registered candidates will be send a login password by SMS on the phone. Now the registration process is complete.

Step second- Login to CAT website

Fill the registration id and password, candidates should click on the “Existing user”  to fill the application form.

Step third- Fill the application form

There are five sections to fill the application form that are Personal details, Academics, Work experience, Programmes and payment.

The candidates are required that fill the personal details by yourself. If any candidate is from reserve category so should download the certificates of NC-OBC- SC/ST or PWD from CAT website. Then fill it required details. After filling the self attest certificate, scan and upload in the pdf format.

The documents have to be uploaded in the JPG or JPEG format and file size should not be more than 80kb.

In the Academics section candidates have to fill the educational details.

  1. Class SSC/ 10th and HSC /12th
  2. Diploma course.
  3. Bachelor’s degree
  4. Master’s degree
  5. Other professional details


To fill 10th class details candidates need to fill the aggregate marks of all the subjects.

Candidates have to select the course type as 12th / equivalent if candidates have appeared I HSC /school structure of 2 years education post 10th standard otherwise select diploma.

Then fill the bachelor’s degree details whether you completed or pursuing graduation.

If the candidates have more than one bachelor ’s degree then select the mentioning box “click here if you have more than on bachelor’s degree and fill the details for the other bachelor’s degree.

If the candidate has done the masters in any kind of field then should fill the details in the master’s degree details section.  In the last in the academics section fill the details of the other kind of professional degree details like CA, ICWA, CS.

In the third section which is Work Experience the candidate has to fill the details related to experience of work completed as on 31st of July 2017.

In the fourth section candidates have to select a interview city as per mentioned.

Candidates will be allotted one among the four preferred cities and either of the 2 sessions.

And the last section is Payment.  The application fee can be submitted by the Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking or Cash and card wallet.

After payment candidates have to fill the special characters in the captcha box which displays.

The candidates have to select the checkbox “ I have previewed the application form by clicking to the preview application button and confirm that all the data reflecting in the preview are correct” then click on the I Agree in the declaration section.  After successful payment  transition, candidates will be sent a application confirmation email.
